I found this cute blenny at just 6M depth underwater. Each time when divers pass through, she turns her head and looks curiously at their movements. Sometimes she swims out of her house to check what’s happening outside. What I like most is the “house wall” consisting of beautiful green hard corals. For me, it feels like the small cutie lives with comfortable grassland. The gentle current is like soft breeze, and each time when she is kissed, the “antennas” on her head swing along. The time spent with her is such a wonderful summer-time memory for me. Warmer water temperatures brought on by climate change stress corals because they are very sensitive to changes in temperature. Bleaching occurs when corals respond to the stress of warmer temperatures by expelling the colourful algae that live within them. Some corals are able to recover, but too often the corals die. If nothing is done to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, more and more corals will be damaged or destroyed. Not only these beautiful creatures will lose their habitats, but also the entire ecosystem for which it forms the base, will virtually disappear.
