2019 國家地理全球攝影大賽台灣賽區 地方組 銀牌 Second Place Winner, Places Category, 2019 National Geographic Photo Contest (Taiwan). 八代灣荒原號沈船原來是一艘載了5,000多噸原木的韓國貨輪，一九八三年從日本出發前往新加坡。行經小蘭嶼附近海域因為氣候惡劣不慎觸礁。船底破洞後造成海水慢慢灌入船艙，船長一邊求救一邊將貨輪移至蘭嶼八代灣後沉沒於此，船上人員全部順利逃生。 荒原號躺在30至40米深的沙地，經過30多年，目前船身斷成三截，船上附著豐富的軟硬珊瑚，也吸引了各式的魚群定居，成為一個完整的生態系統。八代灣沈船是公認臺灣最棒的沉船潛點。 In 1983, the rough sea caused by a typhoon heavily damaged a Korean cargo ship near Lanyu, Taiwan. The ship was abandoned and finally sunk at 40 meters underwater in Badai bay. After more than 35 years, the wreck has turned into a wonderland for the sealife, which is also the most famous dive site in Lanyu.
